Decoding the molecular architecture of skin

For ten years, SKINTEGRITY.CH has invited a leading skin researcher to give the consortium's Annual Lecture. In 2026, Prof. Maria Kasper will come to Zurich to share her latest research findings.
The Kasper Lab aims to answer fundamental questions about tissue homeostasis, repair and regeneration. The lab uses modern techniques such as single-cell transcriptomics, in vivo lineage-tracing, spatial mapping in situ, and computational biology to uncover the cellular behaviour and molecular signals of individual cells. By applying these approaches to skin in health, repair, and cancer development, the lab seeks to understand skin disorders, improve early cancer detection, and identify new regenerative strategies to restore skin.
The lecture is combined with the presentation of the Ulrich auf dem Keller Award. The winner of the award will also give a brief research presentation.
